The Fan who cried Worf

It was a cold evening in January.  Three Star Trek fans stood outside the Theatre Royal.  Inside was the final night of Michael Dorn's Christmas Pantomime of Jack and the Beanstalk.  Michael had been playing the giant and had put on the performance of his life.

The three friends all dressed as Klingon had their Star Trek books and Klingon dictionaries at the ready for him to sign as he came out of the theatre after the show.

"Toby, if you wait out side the stage door and I will wait outside the fire escape in case he comes out there.  And Gary if you wait out side the main door in case he comes out there". Said Simon

"Every one got their phones ready?" asked Gary

The friend all said yes they then said their good byes and headed to "their" doors

After about ten minutes Toby was feeling cold it had started snowing and he only had a thin coat on (As real Klingon's don't wear coats).

"If I call Gary, I could swap places with him and get warm" he said to himself.

So Toby called Gary.

"Gary, Gary" shouted Toby down the phone. "He's here, he's here at the stage door" and put the phone down.

A few moments later Gary appeared with Simon behind him.

"Where is he" shouted Gary as he got closer.

"Err well" Toby said, "I just wanted to swap places I was cold"
"Well ok" said Simon "you can swap with me over at the fire escape as it's not so windy over there. But don't call again unless he is there"

Toby agreed and friends the went to their doors.

After another ten minuets Toby was feeling cold again

" I think I would be warmer around the front" he said to himself and decided to call his friends.

"He's here, he's here" and put the phone down. A few moments later Simon, appeared Gary with behind him.

"Where is he" shouted Simon as he got closer

"Err well" Toby said, "I just wanted to swap places I was cold again"

"Well ok Toby but this is the last Gary," said Gary "you can swap with me over at the front of the theatre, don't do it again".

Toby gave his word and the friends went to their doors.

As Toby got to the front door of the theatre he could see Michael Dorn.
He quickly called his two friends on the phone.
"He's here its Worf" Toby told his friend "He's at the front of the building hurry".

Toby went up to Michael Dorn and got his autograph and was very happy.

He asked Michael if he could wait a few moments for his friends to arrive and he agreed.

After five minuets Michael said he had to go

Toby called his friends again but they did not answer their phones.

Michael whished Toby a good evening and apologised that he could no longer wait for his friends.  He got in to the waiting car and drove away.

The moral of the story

§ If someone calls "Worf" believe him or her.

§ Never trust a cold Klingon called Toby.
