Captain Fargo steeped over to the huge window in the observation lounge of the giant Space Dock. Across the other side of the space dock he could see and impressive new Starship. "What a ship" he said to himself as he saw for the first time His new command. "U.S.S. RANGER" he head out loud "NCC 73051" Fargo looked at the ship from warp engines to the tip of the saucer section.  He closed his eyes and imagined the ship in flight. "She is the latest in Starship design" came a voice from beside him The captain opened his eyes and turned to see grinning young bajoren "She is a mark up of the sovereign class" Joseph turned to look at this ship again "She has a top speed of warp 9.98 and a cruising speed of warp 7.5 which she could keep at for ten years with out stopping, slowing or even adjusting the warp core.  The saucer section of the ship can enter an atmosphere and land and re-attach. "Sounds impressive" said the captain "Any way how do you know so much about the ship? "I've just been assigned to her as the conn officer I was assigned by Admiral Altaker himself he said that old Fargo could use some young blood in his bridge crew to keep him on his toes" "Did he now" said the captain with a smile "that sounds like him" "You know the admiral?" said bajoran suddenly realising who he was talking to "Your not the captain are you?" "Captain Joseph Fargo at your service.  And you must be Lt.Jr. Iolo De'ven the only bajoran officer on the ship" "Yes, yes sir" said the embarrassed lieutenant "I'm sorry…" "Don't worry about it how would you know that I am the captain to the newest fastest ship in the whole of Starfleet," the captain said proudly "Very good have you had a look around he yet?" "No not yet the captain err you gave orders that no one is aloud on board until you have inspected the ship." "That's true" said the captain "but it does not apply to the captain!" he said with a smile " Would you like to take a look around with me" "Yes I would love too sir" "I thought you would say that get your belongings and we can try and see if we can find you some quarters as I hear that commander Mai always gives the new junior officers the smallest quarters with the smallest windows with the views of the warp engines" "Oh" said Iolo looking worried "It was a joke Lt.," said the captain trying not to laugh " Meet me in the starbase cargo bay on deck 84 in an hour" "Deck 84?" asked Iolo "Yes," said the captain "we don't want every one to know we are on board" "Aye sir an hour from know I will not be late"
